Santa Cruise

After getting back from Paris I spent two days up in Central California for my Dad's 90th birthday. Then I immediately left for Kentucky for a work trip that lasted 3 days. When I got home my flying partner was in Missourri visiting his daughter and granddaughter. So, it was a long, long time between flights for me.

But I certainly made up for it this week! On Wednesday Ron and I flew from El Monte to Santa Barbara. Then on Thursday we flew to Santa Ynez. Today, Friday, we flew to Santa Paula. All three have "Santa" in the name so we naturally dubbed the trifecta the "Santa Cruise". Each location has plenty to offer. At Santa Barbara you can walk to the beach and have meal at a restaurant right on the edge of the sand. At Santa Ynez you are in the middle of vineyards and can take a shuttle to the Indian casino. At Santa Paula you will see some really cool historic airplanes and lots of taildraggers.

What's next? Maybe a long trip up north to Reno or Lake Tahoe....I'll keep you posted!

Paris

Just got back from 10 days in Paris, France. Had a great time seeing practically all the sights. The Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, Giverny, Monet's Water Lillies, the Mona Lisa, Venus De Milo, Rodin's The Thinker, the Arc De Triomphe, and on and on and on. Unbelievable!
